WSAD/ left thumbstick to move,

E/ pad A to land or takeoff (only in landing zones)

The blinking light points to the objective.

Web build doesn't have some audio effects. The game sounds much better on windows version.

This is  a submission to Cosmic Horror Jam II and Scream Jam 2023 . Since only the week of those overlapped, I only used a week for development.

I tried several new things in this game. I had fun with cinemachine and tried to use some unity elements instead of writing custom code. The main thing to take from this one is that horror and helicopters are a difficult mix, and I had to simplify the hell out of the flight model because of time constraints (would be more complex if I had more time, and I will definitely try to make a "flying" game again).

As for the title- google it! Magenta is not in the light spectrum and is kind of a brain glitch when light sensitive cells (cones) responsible for red and blue are triggered, but not the green one (and it should be, because is between red and blue)!

I liked the game!(I will say the helicopter noises were a bit much, and felt like it was coming straight at you, if you ever go back to fix it, it might be helpful to add some reverb to it, and some eq to make it sound more full, and more natural!)

Wasn't a big fan of the helicopter noise but otherwise I really enjoyed this short story, and the lofi PSX styling.

Is the title also a reference to "The Colour Out of Space"?

Thanks!

Good catch- the title is indeed a reference, although a low-key one (as you can tell, other than a spooky color plotwise the game doesn't have much to do with tCOoS). I'm always happy, when I put some little thing in my jam games and someone notices :)

The hand caught me off-guard, hahaha. Great work!

Thank you! The hand went through a couple of iterations and I'm pretty happy with where it ended.

Nice!

You sir, are a absolute legend! Every single jam developer likes to see their game played (it's a best form of feedback- you can see if your design resonates with people the way you wanted to).

Huge thanks, and keep up the good work!

Good job. I really like the PSX graphics, gave it a nice analogue horror kind of vibe.

That's what I was going for :)

Thanks for playing!

Neat! I liked the ending sequence. I'm a little salty my helicopter was hit by the quakes in the air (I guess those are blasts) but good mood! Very impressive in a week.

Thanks for playing!

The magenta shockwaves were supposed to be cosmic-horror-mysterious-energy, and not quakes per-se, but I guess, I should have sold it a little stronger.
